Reflecting on ‘Labour of Love’ Month with Kooks.
Drink Responsibly. Create Passionately.
Labour of Love month saw us partner up with Kooks to offer Pozible campaigns launched in December with free wine! Labour of Love wines are handcrafted with passion and purpose, and Kooks are all about supporting big hearted people — As the projects wrap up we thought we’d take a look back at the the campaigns and the people behind them that captured the Kooks spirit.
Four projects were hand-picked by our pals at Kooks and offered $200+ worth of wine that they could use in anyway, as personal thank-you’s to supporters through to auctioning to raise funds even if they were not fully funded.
Having run two successful Pozible campaigns now, The Be Awesome Festival is more than a one day event, it’s a social movement. Children partake in a range of confidence building activities where they learn important life lessons, like the how to act with integrity, make positive choices and how to accept and bounce back from failure! They equip kids with the life skills they need going into adolescence and adulthood whilst fostering friendship and all-round awesomeness. Kooks were drawn to the campaign’s uniqueness and potential for long lasting impact.
In December of last year when Liam, a carpenter from Melbourne had $10,000 worth of power tools stolen, his mate started a crowdfunding campaign. Choosing Replacing Liam’s Power Tools was a no brainer for the folks at Kooks. A vital member of various non-profits around Melbourne offering carpentry services free of charge, Liam embodies the passion and purpose of Kooks. They provided Liam and his friends with some much needed wine.
Run by a handful of volunteers, the Townsville Children’s Fishing Classic is an annual recreational fishing competition that aims to give kids skills and an awareness of environmental issues that they can carry on into future. Having run for over 25 years, the competition is a fun and positive atmosphere for adults and kids alike. Kooks gifted this campaign with tasty beverages for the parents!
Sometimes you’ve gotta help yourself in order to help others. That’s exactly what Hugo aimed to do in his crowdfunding campaign — Help Me so I can Help Others. Like Kooks and Pozible’s shared belief that business should be used for good, Hugo hopes to use his professional skills in the mortgage sector to benefit others by helping them with financial advice.
Thanks to Kooks these projects went home with beautiful wines and recognition of their hard work. Labour of Love month was all about rewarding and recognising Pozible campaigns run by uncommonly good folk who aren’t afraid to roll up their sleeves, get their hands dirty and do good for others — for love, not personal reward.
